She is reviewing some outfits that work with our Fancy Shoes.

I love her look as she is a normal size women, not the stereo type size 8 model.

Katie wears a size 9 to 10 size shoe, oh and she is super fancy.

So here is her first post, enjoy.

Here is to making all women feel fancy.

Hi, I’m Katie from Spijkerkats Closet, I’m a plus size/“inbetweenie” fashion blogger and today I’m reviewing a pairs of shoes from Fancy Shoe Land and showing you how I would style them.

I like to call my personal style “everyday pinup”. My style is influenced by the 50s and pin up, but you won’t see me in wiggle dresses with foundation garments and victory rolls in my hair on a daily basis. My outfits also need to be comfortable and practical, and I’m often partial to modern cuts too. A simple hairstyle, a hair flower, red lips or a strand of pearls can add a touch of pin up glamor to any outfit, as can certain patterns, such as polka dots, floral and cherries. This is what you will often see in my outfits, rather than a full blown pin up girl.

The Wedges

The wedges I am wearing are the “Bernadette” - a snakeskin & black patent wedge with an ankle strap and a lower heel (8cm).

Fancy wedge heels

They are also available in cream and available in sizes 5 - 10

Wedges are my favorite kind of heel, they elongate the legs and depending on the style, can really dress up an outfit like a traditional heel can. The shiny patent straps and detailing definitely makes these a dressy wedge in my opinion but they are much easier to walk in than a stiletto. For that reason, these shoes were my favorite of the three pairs I will be reviewing for you.

I’ve worn them out for a meal, and they were pretty comfortable to walk in and wear for the duration of the evening. Of course this didn’t require a lot of walking, but then that’s generally not the purpose of heels.

For my first look, I’ve gone for a rockabilly look, a black polka dot dress from City Chic accessorized with a red bow belt, a cherry print headscarf & silver bow jewellery from Karen Walker.

This is one of my favorite dresses, I love the full skirt and the retro vibe and I think the wedges go perfectly with it. They lengthen my legs and the angle adds a little definition to my calves, I think wedges are a perfect match for summer dresses.

This is an outfit I’d wear day or night, I feel neither under dressed nor overdressed in it and think it’d work for a variety of occasions.

My second look was inspired by Sandy’s bad girl transformation in Grease.

I just happened to be wearing the off the shoulder top, and when I paired it with the wet look skinny jeans, I got a sandy vibe and decided to tuck the top in.

Both are from City Chic and I accessorized with a rhinestone & skull necklace from Lovisa.
I’ve often worn these jeans with flats and thought they would look great with a heel, but it’s not always practical, so the wedges are a great compromise.
I tend to stick to less fitted or peplum tops with these pants in the day time, so this is an outfit I’d wear out at night, perhaps to a bar or a party.
